Great Barrier Reef & Coral Sea Photo Gallery

The second part of our 2009 trip was a 7 day live aboard dive trip on the Mike Ball boat - Spoilsport. As shown on the map to the right, we sailed the northern part of the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns up to Lizard Island over to Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea and then back to Cairns. The Spoilsport is an outstanding dive boat with a great crew that made our trip truly memorable. The diving and snorkeling were exceptional. I've been diving for well over 30 years in many places around the world and this part of the Great Barrier Reef has among the best hard corals that I have seen. The marine life is also abundant and excellent! Share our experience in the following pictures:
