Jordan Valley

The Jordan River flows through the Jordan Valley from the Sea of Galilee in the north to the Dead Sea at the south. It forms the border between Jordan and Israel including the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

This is the valley with the lowest elevation in the world, beginning at 212 m (696 ft) below sea level and terminating at less than 400 m (1,300 ft) below sea level.

The scenery is desolate but spectacular.

We travelled this route on our way to visit the Dead Sea.
